Shipping policy covers
- Standard and expedited shipping
- Carrier delivery timelines
- Case packaging and tracking
- Lost, delayed, or damaged shipments
Shipping expectations for completed cases.
Shipping time is separate from production turnaround time. Delivery estimates may vary depending on carrier performance, destination, weather, holidays, and selected service level.
1. Shipping Methods
Completed cases may be shipped using standard ground, expedited, or overnight shipping options depending on availability, location, and customer request.
- Standard ground shipping may be used for non-urgent cases.
- Expedited shipping may be available for time-sensitive cases.
- Overnight shipping may be available when requested and approved before shipment.
2. Production Time vs. Shipping Time
Production turnaround and shipping transit are separate timelines. A case must be completed, inspected, packaged, and handed to the carrier before the shipping timeline begins.
Turnaround estimates do not include carrier transit time unless specifically stated.
3. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges may vary based on service level, destination, package size, carrier rates, and requested delivery speed. Expedited or overnight shipping may result in additional fees.
4. Tracking Information
When available, tracking information may be provided after the case has shipped. Tracking updates depend on the carrier and may not appear immediately after label creation.
5. Carrier Delays
Precedent Dental Systems is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, weather, holidays, service disruptions, incorrect shipping addresses, or events outside of the lab’s control.
6. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Incorrect, incomplete, or outdated addresses may delay delivery and may result in additional shipping charges.
7. Lost or Damaged Shipments
If a package is lost or arrives damaged, contact the lab as soon as possible with the Case ID, tracking number, photos of the package if applicable, and a description of the issue.
Claims may require carrier review and supporting documentation before resolution.
8. Time-Sensitive Cases
For cases with strict deadlines, contact the lab before submitting the order. Rush-sensitive cases may require production review, expedited shipping, and confirmation of realistic timing before the case begins.
Plan shipping around your case deadline.
